If your interested in Buying a Porsche 924??
If your are a potential Porsche 924 owner there are a few things worth looking at around the car to give you a better idea of whether the 924 your interested in buying is good, bad or just plain ugly??
Mainly here we are talking about the older Porsche 924’s and more later ones seems to stand up slightly better. Manufactured between 1976-1988 was the sucessor to the Porsche 914 and rhe predecessor to the Porsche 944.
Early (read older) 924s can suffer from a lot of problems.
Main problems are the electrics.
Check
Window Motors both work ?
Have a look around the fusebox for (bodged or temporary repairs)?
Sunroof works ?
Check wiring around the starter motor hasnt been messed with temporary repairs?
Rear wiper motor works.
Headlight motors are very prone to failure and are definatley NOT cheap
These may seem very basic things but all these electrical faults are very costly to repair.

14|Jun|2010 1ive just bought a 924 2.0 and when u start it the hazard light on the dash flashs but the indicators dont. Give the dashboard a tap and it stops. When i take it for a drive the battery light comes on and you can hear the flasher relay going nuts. Again tap the dash at the top left of the rev counter it stops. It also starts it if i drop a gear and floor it. Any ideas! Driving me nuts.
